• Prepare to be without your Xbox 360 for up to 4 weeks or longer, although some people have reported receiving them back much sooner.

So if your system is still under warranty and you meet the requirements above then you can send your unit to Microsoft since they do not charge you for the repair.  

However, if your system is not under warranty or you do not meet the requirments above then this is not an option for you.
